  1.                            Using NOTIS
  2.  
  3. Title searches:     To search for a particular title, use the t= search 
  4.                     command followed by the title.
  5.                     Example:  t=foundation
  6.  
  7. Author searches:    To search for a particular author, use the a= search 
  8.                     command followed by the author's name.
  9.                     Example:  a=asimov
  10.  
  11. Subject searches:   To search for a particular subject, use the s=     
  12.                     search command followed by the subject.
  13.                     Example:  s=tennis
  14.  
  15. Keyword searches:   To search for a particular keyword, use the k=
  16.                     search command followed by a string.
  17.                     Example:  k=cry wolf
  18.  
  19.                     You may use the logical operator (AND, OR, NOT) and 
  20.                     parenthesis to group the operators. 
  21.                     Also, $ is a wildcard  character.
  22.                     Examples: k=car and fast
  23.                               k=computer and not ibm
  24.                               k=comp$ and (toy or game)

  27. Help:               On most screens, help can be seen by the h
  28.                     command.
  29.  
  30. Picking an item:    On screens where a list of items appears, a
  31.                     particular item can be selected by typing the
  32.                     number to the right of item.
